Entries are currently open for the 2015 City of Hobart Exceptional Customer Service Awards. The awards are hosted by the City of Hobart and they play an important role in encouraging and rewarding excellence in customer service within our business community.

Last year’s winner of the New Business Excellence Award was Rick Perry, from Rock It Climbing.

“I was very happy to be nominated as a finalist in the awards last year, but quite shocked that we actually won. The team was absolutely thrilled. Everyone here had a very important role in helping us win the award,” said Rick.

Rock it Climbing Centre is committed to the highest level of service to their customers.

“Customer service is something that we have to do in a very precise way. Everyone that works here is very passionate about climbing. They are very keen to share their enthusiasm with newcomers to the sport,” said Rick.

Rock It Climbing has since used the $5000 Southern Cross media package that they won last year to produce a TV commercial to promote their business.

This year there are several new award categories and some great prizes on offer, including print and media packages with a total value of up to $25,000.

One of the new awards introduced this year is the City of Hobart Award for Innovation in Customer Service.

This award recognises the importance of innovation in customer service and is to be judged from all finalists. The winner will receive a perpetual trophy.

The City of Hobart would like to encourage all business owners in the Hobart municipality to enter online and complete the questionnaire. To enter, visit www.hobartcity.com.au/HECSA. Entries close on 10 August 2015.
